Travel Immunisations

Providing travel immunisations is not part of standard NHS services. However practices do

provide routine immunisations, which coincidentally may also be required when travelling

abroad, these are;





Hepatitis A


We can undertake the above vaccines in preparation for your travel plans on the proviso

that you have previously had a TRAVEL CONSULTATION. We are not able to give these

without you having a detailed consultation as they may not all be necessary or may leave

you without suitable cover.


If you are travelling abroad you should contact a travel clinic to book a consultation AT

LEAST 6 weeks before departure. Consultations are not done at the surgery. They are

privately run and therefore are chargeable. A consultation with a travel clinic will give you

information on what vaccines you need for the area you are travelling to.

Please note: All of the above, excluding Norwich Practices Health Centre, can carry out

vaccinations for Yellow Fever.

NHS Choices guidances on travel vaccinations


Call 111 now if you've been:

  • to Wuhan or Hubei Province in China in the last 14days (even if you do not have symptoms).
  • to other parts of China, including Macau and Hong Kong, in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temerature or shortness of breath (even if it's mild)
  • to Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Republic of Korea or Malaysia in the last 14 days and have a cough, high tempreature or shortness of breath (even if it's mild)
  • in close contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus

Do not go to a GP surgery or hospital. Call 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.
